Water Hardness Removal
We all know the telltale signs of hard water. Just like flies in the springtime, those pesky hard water spots, scale in the bathtub and embarrassing cloudiness on the wine glasses keep coming back again and again. Hawkins Water Tech offers a variety of hardness removal systems that ensure sparkling drinking glasses, clear shower glass, soft skin and hair, and lots of suds in your bubble bath (of course now you’ll have time to be IN the tub, instead of scrubbing the tub).
Iron Removal (Red/Brown Staining)
Iron is one of the most annoying and hard to remove minerals found in our water here in Michiana. It stains sinks and showers and will use every ounce of elbow grease you have to scrub it off your fixtures. Iron comes in two forms, dissolved and non-dissolved. Dissolved iron has no color when it’s in your water so your water may look crystal clear. Then, after sitting a short while in the toilet, tub or sink, it turns anything it touches into a hideous shade of reddish brown

Whole Home Chlorine Removal
Chlorine is a nasty but necessary chemical used to disinfect municipal water supplies. Although it’s good for killing bacteria, it’s bad for your skin and your health. Over-the-counter chlorine filters for your shower and sink only can do so much before they themselves get overrun with bacteria and buildup.
Drinking Water Contaminant & Arsenic Removal
These days we can spend hours, if not days, pouring energy into worrying about the chemicals and contaminants we consume. As an increasingly health-conscious nation, we all are becoming aware of the necessity for clean drinking water. We’ve all heard the statistic that water makes up to 70% of our bodies (studies show in babies and small children water can make up even more).
When I begin to think of what actually keeps my life running smoothly so I can focus on my family and fun, the main source of my home’s health and my personal health became abundantly clear: water

I called with a problem on equipment Hawkins did not install that I was sure would need to be replaced. Curt made a trip to my house the same day and did something very unusual for a typical salesman – he fixed our old unit! He was so educational – teaching me how to use the unit and explaining all the working parts. His help was truly a blessing in our lives as replacing the unit would have been quite a burden for us right now. I will definitely give Hawkins and Curt my future business. Thank you and God Bless!

Their team bent over backwards to ensure that our final water treatment system met our expectations. I use the word “team” in its truest sense. Our installation included water softening and a reverse osmosis (RO) system. It turned out that we didn’t care for the taste of the RO water. That’s where the team at Hawkins really showed their commitment to customer satisfaction. They worked with us to try solving this issue – without any hesitation. In the end, we had the RO unit removed and switched over to filtered hard water for drinking. It turned out that my wife and I just didn’t like the taste of RO water. During this process we were impressed with the diligence that the Hawkins Team placed in resolving our issue. As if that wasn’t enough, we received full reimbursement for the removed RO unit. To sum it up – call Hawkins Water if you are considering installing a water treatment system.

Upon examining the installation, Kevin (the service tech) observed that the carbon filtration unit was plumbed ahead of the softener, which meant it was doing the “heavy lifting” of removing iron, a task that was well beyond its intended assignment.
Kevin re-plumbed the carbon unit and reprogrammed the softener, even though it is not one Hawkins sells. He did an outstanding job and his knowledge, work effort and demeanor were a fine reflection on your company.
We love our Hawkins softener!
I have never dealt with another company as fantastic as HWT. From the first contact, to the calls to set up the install, to the install itself- everything has been A+. I love my water now- which is huge for me. I am thrilled to be a customer of yours
