Whole Home Water Filtration

If you’re like me, your home is one of the largest investments you’ve ever made.  It takes so many little details all working together in perfect harmony to ensure your home runs like a well-oiled machine. Here are five ways Hawkins Water Tech can take care of your water, so you can take care of your family & home:

Water Hardness Removal

We all know the telltale signs of hard water. Just like flies in the springtime, those pesky hard water spots, scale in the bathtub and embarrassing cloudiness on the wine glasses keep coming back again and again. Hawkins Water Tech offers a variety of hardness removal systems that ensure sparkling drinking glasses, clear shower glass, soft skin and hair, and lots of suds in your bubble bath (of course now you’ll have time to be IN the tub, instead of scrubbing the tub).

Iron Removal (Red/Brown Staining)

Iron is one of the most annoying and hard to remove minerals found in our water here in Michiana. It stains sinks and showers and will use every ounce of elbow grease you have to scrub it off your fixtures.  Iron comes in two forms, dissolved and non-dissolved. Dissolved iron has no color when it’s in your water so your water may look crystal clear. Then, after sitting a short while in the toilet, tub or sink, it turns anything it touches into a hideous shade of reddish brown. Non-dissolved iron is still in particle form so your water may actually have a reddish tint to it as it comes out of the faucet.  These two different types of iron are treated two different ways. That is why it is imperative to have your water tested so the proper solution can be identified.

Removal of Bad Odors

Odors can be caused from a variety of contaminants like hydrogen sulfide (rotten egg smell), chlorine, bacterial iron and a host of other not-so-pleasant items. The type of filtration you need will vary depending on what is causing the odor. That’s why we recommend a water test as your first step.

Whole Home Chlorine Removal

Chlorine is a nasty but necessary chemical used to disinfect municipal water supplies.  Although it’s good for killing bacteria, it’s bad for your skin and your health.  Over-the-counter chlorine filters for your shower and sink only can do so much before they themselves get overrun with bacteria and buildup.

Our unique Whole Home Carbon Filter removes chlorine from the ENTIRE home. Periodic filter tank replacement is necessary, however, our filter design generally requires less frequent maintenance compared to over-the-counter filters.

Drinking Water Contaminant & Arsenic Removal

These days we can spend hours, if not days, pouring energy into worrying about the chemicals and contaminants we consume.  As an increasingly health-conscious nation, we all are becoming aware of the necessity for clean drinking water.  We’ve all heard the statistic that water makes up to 70% of our bodies (studies show in babies and small children water can make up even more).

At Hawkins Water Tech, we provide a drinking water system which creates bottled-quality water from your existing water source!  Our systems are proven to remove common and not-so-common contaminants, including arsenic, so you can be worry-free when it comes to the water going into your body.

When I begin to think of what actually keeps my life running smoothly so I can focus on my family and fun, the main source of my home’s health and my personal health became abundantly clear: water. Just think of all the things water touches: water heater, boiler, washing machine (your family’s clothes), dishwasher, your body, etc…

WATER IS THE LIFEBLOOD OF YOUR HOME JUST AS IT IS FOR YOUR HEALTH.

If you can picture your life with less time spent cleaning and worrying about what’s in the water you drink, then you can picture your life with water treatment from the professionals at Hawkins Water Tech. When our son gave us a new Rainsoft water treatment system, we were grateful….until the brine tank overflowed three times! We needed help, so we called Hawkins Water Tech.
Upon examining the installation, Kevin (the service tech) observed that the carbon filtration unit was plumbed ahead of the softener, which meant it was doing the “heavy lifting” of removing iron, a task that was well beyond its intended assignment.
Kevin re-plumbed the carbon unit and reprogrammed the softener, even though it is not one Hawkins sells. He did an outstanding job and his knowledge, work effort and demeanor were a fine reflection on your company.

We love our Hawkins softener!

I am a new customer of Hawkins Water Tech. I cannot say enough about our first experience with your company, specifically Doug Hostetler. My family, including two children under the age of 3, live in Granger. It's no secret that our well water contains high levels of nitrates. Upon purchasing our home, we installed a reverse-osmosis system to deliver safe, clean, drinking water for our family. After 5 years of use and annual maintenance, I decided to contact Hawkins Water Tech for a free water test to ensure our RO system was still functioning properly and to complete a health check on our water softener. After submitting an online request, Doug contacted me via phone within 30 minutes. Great first impression. He recapped my request and quickly scheduled an on-site consultation to complete the water test. The morning of the appointment, he contacted both myself and my wife (who was at home) to let us know he was on his way while providing his anticipated arrival time. He showed up right on time. My wife showed him to our RO system and water softener in the basement. He completed the analysis and provided a thorough debriefing of our current systems, which were both functioning as desired. He did offer recommendations for improvement, including a more efficient RO system that would provide better filtration and production capacity, however he did not push any of these offerings on either myself or my wife during/after the visit. I spoke with him via phone following the visit to discuss his recommendations. He provided thorough and honest feedback, which I really appreciated. Overall, excellent experience with Doug! I will recommend HWT without hesitation to friends, family, and anyone else who asks. Thank you!

I just wanted to thank you and especially Curt in your sales office. I was so impressed with his knowledge and helpfulness. I called with a problem on equipment Hawkins did not install that I was sure would need to be replaced. Curt made a trip to my house the same day and did something very unusual for a typical salesman – he fixed our old unit! He was so educational – teaching me how to use the unit and explaining all the working parts. His help was truly a blessing in our lives as replacing the unit would have been quite a burden for us right now. I will definitely give Hawkins and Curt my future business. Thank you and God Bless!

More than expected! Our experience working with the fine folks at Hawkins Water was the best we could ever have imagined. Their team bent over backwards to ensure that our final water treatment system met our expectations. I use the word “team” in its truest sense. Our installation included water softening and a reverse osmosis (RO) system. It turned out that we didn’t care for the taste of the RO water. That’s where the team at Hawkins really showed their commitment to customer satisfaction. They worked with us to try solving this issue – without any hesitation. In the end, we had the RO unit removed and switched over to filtered hard water for drinking. It turned out that my wife and I just didn’t like the taste of RO water. During this process we were impressed with the diligence that the Hawkins Team placed in resolving our issue. As if that wasn’t enough, we received full reimbursement for the removed RO unit. To sum it up – call Hawkins Water if you are considering installing a water treatment system.
